I like this design, but I'd rather have the columns reversed. I'm a real css neophyte, and I can't see in your code where I'd need to make a change to have the "content" column on the left and the column with the calendar and whatnot on the right.
Can you help out with that?

To switch the sidebar you would just have to change the floats from left to right and vice versa. Please try this and if you are still having issues email me and I'll have a peek.

Just to help prevent any problems i'll post the required changes below. Find and replace the following sections and you should be ok:
#center {
float: left;
width: 73%;
overflow: hidden;
}#right {
float: right;
width: 25%;
background-color: #fff;
overflow: hidden;
