MovableType Clean for MT3
This was requested a few times, so I figured that I would do this conversion first. It's a plain style, but well loved.

How can 2 months just fly by?
Apparently quite easily when I go and look at the date in my last post. The reason for my lack of posts (and styles!) hasn’t been because of a loss of love or anything to do with the MT licensing change fallout that happened around the same time as my last post. The reason is that my new job has been eating all my free time. With new jobs come new skills to master. I’ve been doing a whole lot or reading over the past 2 months.. but my book pile is drying up.
I again have some free time in the evenings to devote to my hobbies, so I’ll be showing this site a lot of love for a while.
Firstly I will post up the MT2 to MT3 style sheet conversions I have done/been working on. Then I will get to work on some fresh new originals for you all to use.
I will then also start taking user submitted styles to post here. Any of you out there have a MT2 or MT3 stock template stylesheet that you feel like sharing with the community? Well send me an email and I can put it up here for you.
Anyways.. more on that later when I get some other stuff out of the way.
It’s good to be back!
ps: if any of you have any preferences for which stylesheets I convert first, please post your thoughts here. Comments will most likely take a while to show up as I have to manually approve them. This blog is getting 20-30+ comment spams a day. Damn spammers.
pps: I also found this site recently... hmmm. Those templates look awfully familiar ;)

Site transfer complete!
Just got word from my provider that the domain transfer has been completed. The change should propagate through the net within the next day or so.
I've made my site modifications active as well, well half of them really. On the front page you will now see 2 drop down boxes. The first allows you to choose MT 2.x styles for your default 2.x templates, while the bottom allows you to choose MT 3.x styles for your default 3.x templates.
For now I've added the default stylesheets that Sixapart provides on their homepage, but will be uploading new and updated designs in the near future. All stylesheets on this site have been released under the Creative Commons license, I will be working on updating some of the older posts here as well to make this more evident. You will also notice that the individual pages are using a rather boring stylesheet. This will also be changing in the near future. I figured that getting the main index page updated was the most important thing :)
For now you can:
Apply Movabletype 3 - Chalkboard style
Apply Movabletype 3 - Gettysburg style
Apply Movabletype 3 - Independence style
Apply Movabletype 3 - Sakura style
Apply Movabletype 3 - Squash style
Please let me know what you all think of the changes. I will be asking for user stylesheet submissions soon as well. So if you feel like having your work to be released here, and you don't mind having it licensed under the Creative Commons license, feel free to email me!

eep!
Just wanted to let everyone know that updates are coming soon! Just after setting this site up I got a hefty dose of real life. Things are settling down now though, which is a goot thing. Both for me and the site :)
The scripts that I've been working on so I can serve up MT2, MT3 and Wordpress styles all on the same page are nearing completion. Hopefully I'll have something up within the next week. Stay tuned..

Welcome
Hello, Welcome to the new Movablestyle.com!
Some of you may know me from my weblog dasme.org. A few days back I was surfing along visiting some of my old bookmarks. I came to this site and saw the posting below from Scott Yang. He no longer had the time to update the site, and was looking for someone to take over for him. I contacted him right away. He agreed to transfer the domain, and this is the result.
I first found this site through a websearch when I was in the planning stages of my own Movabletype template site. Seeing what a good job Scott did I put my plans on the back burner. Now to actually be running the site that I found, well... it's quite ironic. :)
For right now I put the backup Scott sent me online, but have some big changes in mind. Stay tuned.
Did some of you say Movabletype 2.x, Movabletype 3.x and WordPress styles? hmmm... curious.

Gold on Grey
Haven't had a new style for a whole, but here you go. Tested under Firefox 0.8 and Internet Explorer 6SP1 so far, and has not had a chance to look at it through Safari. It is basically a mutated style based on "Boxed" with dark titianium grey background and gold text. Shadow effect created with image on the top banner.
Apply Titanium Gold style
Wish everyone has an enjoyable weekend.

Style Switcher Implementation
There seems to be a few requests regarding to how the style switcher is implemented, so this entry will serve this purpose - detailing how I implemented the style switcher on the Movable Style site, including samples of source code that you can use for your own site.
The internals of this style switcher is actually quite simple, but it requires PHP running on the server side for it to work. Here are some objectives that I had when I first started:
- Minimal client side (java-)scripting.
- Works on every page.
